General Information

In 1990, Graham Burnett previous owner and founder of Ra Divers, has dived and instructed in many areas of the world, discovered the quality of the diving in the local waters off Nananu-I-Ra and all at a time when virtually no scuba diving was undertaken in the area. Graham’s experience and love of diving has led him to personally discover all of the original Ra Diver dive sites and to be insistent that new dive sites are constantly being explored and mapped. All these sites are, conservatively speaking, the equal of anything in Fiji.

Then in 1993 Graham taught Steve Darling, then 14 years old, how to dive. Once Steve finished his schooling in New Zealand and became an Instructor himself, in 2000 he returned to Fiji to work for Graham & Liz Burnett at the tender age of 18. Graham gave him the opportunity to Manage Ra Divers for the following 4 years. Steve saw this opportunity and grabbed it and has become well known for his expertise and experience in Diving. In December 2003 Steve and his parents Steve Snr and Gail Darling purchased the company “RA DIVERS” from Graham and Liz. With intent to run it as a family owned and operated Business.
